
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department said an investigation is underway after a man was found dead in a parking lot on Sunday morning.
According to officers, a caller reported finding the man at 323 South Cesar Chavez Boulevard at about 8 a.m.
Homicide detectives said the man was on the ground of the parking lot and not inside a vehicle. Officials did not say if there were any vehicles nearby.
Authorities said the man had apparent injuries to his face and that he was unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said they do not have details yet on the suspect or any possible motive. Police also did not reveal details on the victim's identity.
HPD said the investigation is still ongoing.
