One killed, 3 hospitalized in Pasadena crash, prompting Beltway 8 service road closure, police say

PASADENA, Texas (KTRK) -- The Pasadena Police Department said one person has died and three others are in the hospital after a crash near Beltway 8 at Pasadena Boulevard on Sunday afternoon.

Officials said the crash involved two vehicles, resulting in four people being rushed to the hospital, where one of the victims was later pronounced dead.

Authorities said the northbound side of the Beltway 8 service road at Pasadena Boulevard is shut down as the crash investigation continues. Officials added that westbound traffic from Red Bluff Road is closed as well.

Pasadena PD said the roadway is expected to remain closed for an extended period while its Crash Team investigates the deadly collision.

Police advised motorists to avoid the area, expect delays, and seek alternate routes.
