Driver dies after car slams into 18-wheeler on Katy Freeway at Bunker Hill, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities said witnesses reported a man's vehicle was swerving on the highway before it was involved in a crash with an 18-wheeler on Wednesday.
The Houston Police Department said the crash happened at about 11:40 a.m. in the 9700 block of the Katy Freeway.
HPD said a black Hyundai Tucson was headed eastbound on the freeway when it hit a white 18-wheeler that was also headed the same way. Authorities said the driver of the Hyundai was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities did not immediately release the driver's identity, but said he was a 69-year-old man.
An investigation continues into the crash.
