Weekend closures expected on these Houston highways for construction

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The weekend is finally here! However, there are some road closures you should know about, which might impact your plans.

The first one is along the East Beltway. The northbound exit ramp to Spencer Highway and the northbound entrance ramp from Spencer both closed at 8 p.m. on Thursday until Monday at 5 a.m.

Drivers can take the Fairmont or Red Bluff NB toll entrance ramp to access the main lanes.

Then, there will be nightly lane closures in both directions of I-610, which began at 9 p.m. on Thursday, between U-S 59 and I-10 East.

These closures are scheduled to end at 5 a.m. on Monday, before the morning's rush hour.
