Repairs underway for water main break on Highway 6 in Hitchcock, city officials say

HITCHCOCK, Texas (KTRK) -- A water main break is affecting water service for some residents in the Hitchcock area on Thursday morning, according to the city.

City of Hitchcock officials said that public works is responding to the emergency water main break on Highway 6.

They said it is impacting water service for portions of the highway between 2nd Street and 6th Street.

"Our crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore service. We appreciate your patience and understanding," the city said in a social media post.

SkyEye13 flew over the area at around 9 a.m. as crews work to restore service, but the city did not say how long repairs would take.
