Couple finds live ammunition, grenades in newly purchased home in NE Harris County, Pct. 3 says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- The Harris County Constable Precinct 3 said the county's bomb squad found explosives inside a newly purchased home in northeast Harris County on Saturday afternoon.

Pct. 3 said it received a call from concerned homeowners in the 7400 block of John Ralston about the recently purchased home.

Once deputies arrived, they said the couple showed multiple types of ammunition and other firearms found inside the home.

While doing an inventory, several hand grenades and improvised explosive devices were reportedly found.

The Harris County Bomb Squad said it investigated the devices and found that they were live rounds and immediately removed them from the area.

Law enforcement applauded the couple for their quick thinking and extreme caution in what they said could've been a dangerous situation.
