
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A deputy and another driver are in the hospital following an overnight crash in southwest Houston, authorities said.
The collision happened just before 4 a.m. on Friday near Bissonnet and Fondren. Video from the scene shows a Harris County Constable Precinct 5 patrol vehicle with front damage and a van lying on its side.
Pct. 5 told ABC13 that the van's driver ran a red light and the two vehicles collided, causing the van to roll over. They were both reportedly taken to the hospital.
The constable's office added that the deputy was driving at a normal speed and is alert and conscious. The condition of the van's driver is unknown.
