Matthew Farfan and Luis Enrique Robledo are facing felony murder charges for the death of Dirk Brian Fortune, charging documents reveal.

FIRST REPORT: Investigation underway after man found shot to death in car parked inside home's garage: HCSO

Fortune was found dead in the passenger's seat of a car parked inside the garage of a home on Everington Drive in the Katy area on Tuesday, investigators said.

According to court records, witnesses, including Farfan's mother, reportedly saw both Farfan and Robledo with blood on their shirts shortly after the murder. The documents also say that witnesses reported seeing a rifle and a handgun being brought into the home.

Another document reveals that shell casings found at a separate location matched casings found in Robledo's Impala, which also matched with Farfan's rifle.

The records also go on to allege that Farfan sent a picture of the victim to his father, who then sent it to his mother.

On Wednesday, investigators with the Harris County Sheriff's Office said that it appeared the victim was shot somewhere else and then brought to the home on Everington Drive.

A person at the home called 911, and deputies who responded interviewed the caller and their 23-year-old son, detectives said. Investigators said they found inconsistencies with the son's statement and secured a search warrant that "led to incriminating evidence found inside the home."

Documents show both Farfan and Robledo are due in court on Friday.
