Person fatally shot, another injured at apartment complex in southwest Houston, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police said they are investigating a deadly shooting in southwest Houston on Monday morning.

According to the Houston Police Department, the scene is unfolding at an apartment complex on South Gessner near Jason Street, south of I-59.

ABC13 crews at the scene captured footage of an officer inside the complex gates.

Police said the man killed was with a friend who was roughed up during a hold-up. Police said the friend was taken to the hospital.
