All WB lanes reopen on I-10 near SH-99 after overturned big rig cleared, Houston TranStar reports

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- All westbound lanes have reopened on the Katy Freeway near Pin Oak Road after an overturned big rig was cleared on Tuesday afternoon, according to Houston TranStar.

Houston TranStar reported that the incident happened at about 12:20 p.m., indicating that the four right westbound lanes and the right shoulder were closed. TranStar described the incident as a "Hazmat Spill" and a "Heavy Truck Accident."

After two lanes reopened at around 5 p.m., Houston TranStar reported that all of the lanes had been cleared at 5:37 p.m., totaling 5 hours since the crash was first reported.

SkyEye13 was live over the scene on Tuesday afternoon, capturing images of the overturned big rig as well as traffic that backed up for miles.

Transtar reported the incident involving an overturned big rig as a hazmat spill and that multiple westbound lanes of I-10 after SH-99 are closed.
