HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- All of the eastbound lanes on the Katy Freeway at Houston Avenue have reopened after the main lanes were shut down on Saturday afternoon due to flooding, TranStar reports.

According to Houston TranStar's website, the impacted area was considered a "High Water Location", initially affecting all of the main lanes and both shoulders before the water receded. The agency reported that the scene was clear at 4:35 p.m.

TranStar cameras show high water impacting the eastbound main lanes on Saturday afternoon, with some vehicles attempting to drive through the flooded roadway.
