Large fire reported at Valero refinery in Port Arthur

PORT ARTHUR, Texas (KTRK) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of a large fire at the Valero Refinery in Port Arthur.

According to Valero, local authorities are cooperating with other agencies to extinguish the fire.

"Our primary concern is for the safety of workers and community," the Valero spokeswoman said.

An eyewitness shared video of the fire, showing dark clouds of smoke coming from the refinery.

"I heard a loud boom," Angel Swallow is heard saying in the video.

It's not clear what started the fire or if there are any injuries.
