Popeye's employees robbed while leaving work

HOUSTON -- Houston police caught a couple of robbery suspects who held up employees outside a fast-food restaurant in north Harris County last night.

Workers at the Popeye's on Imperial Valley near Beltway 8 had just locked up for the night and were walking to their vehicles when two men walked up to them.

Authorities say the men pulled out guns and demanded the employees' cash and cell phones. The suspects then took off and ran into an apartment complex.

Police used a helicopter and a dog to find the two suspects hiding nearby. A third suspect, who police say acted as a lookout, is on the run.
