Police officer injured after suspected drunk driver slams police cruiser

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A suspected drunk driver slammed into a police cruiser in northwest Houston, injuring a police officer.

The driver ran a stop sign in northwest Houston just after 2am and slammed into the police car at

Antoine and Hardway. Two officers were inside.

The officer in the passenger seat received minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The driver of the other car was not hurt. He was arrested on suspicion of DWI.
