Driver and passengers in custody after police chase in southeast Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police arrested a driver and passengers at gunpoint after pursuing a white pickup through the southeast side of Houston.

It's not known what prompted the chase that started just after 5 p.m. After about 30 minutes, the driver stopped on a feeder road.

The chase was mainly on surface streets before entering Highway 225 during Friday afternoon rush hour. The driver was occasionally driving on the wrong side of the road.
