Small plane crashes in field in west Harris County

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to a plane crash Tuesday morning in west Harris County.

Authorities say a single-engine Bonanza 35 went down just after 9 a.m. in an open field along FM 529, west of Porter Road.

The pilot was the only person onboard. There were no injuries.

The FAA is on the way to the scene. It will investigate the cause of the crash.
