Authorities said a verbal altercation between two men who knew each other turned violent, resulting in one man shooting and killing the other in Splendora.
The district confirmed that the employees, who worked at Peach Creek Elementary and Splendora High School, have been placed on administrative leave.
During the chase, Splendora police said the suspects threw several bags of drugs out the windows, including roughly 5,000 hits of fentanyl.
The district confirmed the student responsible has been criminally charged and moved to another school. Administrators also announced any student caught fighting will be sent to a different school for five days.
Splendora ISD is implementing new safety measures after a student was stabbed Monday afternoon. But some parents worry the new policies will do more harm than good.
The arrest reportedly came after an investigation revealed the continuous sexual abuse of a young child over the course of multiple years between 2009 and 2022 in Montgomery County.
