Van carrying nursing home residents flips over in Rosenberg

ROSENBERG, TX (KTRK) -- A van carrying nursing home residents was involved in a two vehicle accident in Rosenberg.

Lt. William Henry with the Rosenberg Police Department says at this time it appears that the driver of the van failed to give the right of way at a stop sign. The van was struck by a pickup truck and the van flipped over.

All eight elderly passengers were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. The pickup truck driver suffered a broken leg.

The accident investigation remains underway. No citations have been issued at this time.
