Fire engulfs one home, damages another home and church in NE Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Firefighters are working to find out how a fire devoured a home in northeast Houston overnight.

The call came in around 12:35am. Heavy flames had engulfed a one-story home on Lee and Des Chaumes, then spread to a church next door and then another home.

The home where the fire started is heavily damaged. The church and other home that were impacted received minor damage.

No one was inside that first home where the fire started and we don't know if anyone was currently living in that home.

No one was hurt and the cause of this fire is under investigation.
