Woman accused of shoplifting $500 worth of Target merchandise in League City

LEAGUE CITY, TX (KTRK) -- A woman at a League City Target on Monday is facing misdemeanor theft charges after allegedly tried to leave the store with a cart full of merchandise.

On March 30 at 10:20 a.m. League City police were dispatched to the 3100 South Gulf Freeway Target location.

League City police say the woman was seen by loss prevention officials placing items into her shopping cart and then attempting to pass all point of sale. Police say she had $500 worth of items in the shopping cart, including baby products, clothing, cosmetics and home products.

The suspect is facing misdemeanor theft charges.
