A man pulled over for several traffic violations last week is now in prison after authorities say they discovered two different types of drugs on his person.

Anderson Carlton Searles pleaded guilty on Tuesday to two counts of manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance.

According to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, an officer on Friday pulled Searles over in the 2200 block of FM 770 near Raywood. The officer noticed several open alcoholic containers in his car and asked Searles to step out.

Officers patted him down and a blue plastic container fell out of his pant leg. When an officer bent down to pick it up, Searles kicked it under the vehicle and became billigerant.

Deputies eventually got the container and when they opened it, they found several pieces of crack cocaine and several bags possibly containing crystal meth.

Searles was taken to the Liberty County Jail. He pleaded guilty to the charge against him during his first court appearance and was sentenced to five years in prison.
