HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A South Houston High School teacher has resigned amid allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Students have identified the teacher as an ROTC instructor.
"He was a father figure to us. We all trusted him, we all looked up to him. He did a lot for the program," one student said. "We were all really surprised to find out this was going on behind our backs the whole time. We never would have guessed."
The student spoke to Eyewitness News on the condition of anonymity. He fears retaliation.
He says he has seen some scandalous text messages from the instructor to a female student and believes more than one girl has been targeted.
"They're really sexual in nature. Him talking about her body, talking about looking at her. It's not about me. It's about the girls. It's something they're going to carry the rest of their lives," he added.
Attempts to reach the instructor for a comment on the allegations were unsuccessful.
