One person dead in multi-vehicle wreck in Cinco Ranch area

KATY, TX (KTRK) -- One person is dead in a multi-vehicle wreck in the Cinco Ranch area.

The accident happened Friday afternoon at around 4:20pm on Highway 99 northbound and Cinco Ranch Boulevard and involved 5 vehicles. At this point, we don't know what led to the accident.

The Grand Parkway was shut down during the investigation, but has since re-opened. DPS is investigating.
