HOUSTON (KTRK) -- It's been two months since a clerk at a northwest gas station convenience store was brutally murdered, and now Crime Stoppers is offering a reward with information leading to an arrest.

After Hatem "Tim" Abuharbed was killed, the story captured national attention.

VIDEO: Dog waiting over two weeks at door step for murdered owner to return

Dog waits for murdered owner to return, Foti Kallergis reports.

For weeks, the 54-year-old clerk's loyal German Shepherd waited patiently outside Abuharbed's apartment.

There was no way to tell the dog his owner would never return. Neighbors left food and water for the orphaned pup. Finally, a good Samaritan was able to coax him into her car. She planned to foster the dog for a week before handing him off to Abuharbed's brother.

Surveillance video from the Kay-B convenience store robbery shows two men, their faces covered and guns drawn, run into the store on February 7. One of them jumps over the counter and empties the cash register. They spend less than a minute inside. Some customers hid in the freezer.

Investigators say Abuharbed was shot in the thigh. The bullet pierced an artery in his leg and he died in the hospital.

If you have any information about the killers, contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
