Missing 11-year-old Houston girl found safe

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police say a missing 11-year-old Houston girl has been located.

Kayla Miles, 11, was last seen Monday at around 7:30am in the 5300 block of Chennault in southeast Houston. She was spotted in the 9700 block of Meadowglen Lane by a citizen who recognized her, according to police.

In preliminary information, Kayla reportedly told officers she ran away. She appears to be unharmed.

HPD Juvenile Division officers are interviewing Kayla.
