PASADENA, TX -- Fire fighters on Monday extinguished a minor fire that broke out mid-afternoon the abandoned building on Shaw which once housed the Pasadena Citizen newspaper and presses.
Pasadena Volunteer Fire Department Chief Lanny Armstrong said the duct work in the area on the first floor caught on fire with AC units.
"It got up inside the insulation of the duct work and burned to the second floor, so it set fire on both floors," said Armstrong.
The fire was small, Armstrong said, but enough to cause concern because of the size of the building.
