Man arrested for murder of Rosenberg woman months after death

A man was arrested Thursday for a murder in Rosenberg that happened months ago, police said.

Valentine Gonzalez was found near Brownsville.

He was originally a "person of interest" back in September following the murder of Nancy Dean, 32.

Her body was found inside her home Sept. 3 after a fire.

Gonzalez did work earlier in the day of her death, police said. He also had an open warrant after failing to register as a sex offender, police said.

He spent 25 years in prison for sexual assault.

He's behind bars in the Fort Bend County jail.
