Police are looking into a deadly shooting that happened across four locations. One person ended up dead.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A flurry of overnight gang activity in southwest Houston ended in one man's death, according to HPD.

Police say the trouble began overnight near the 11500 block of Beechnut. There was a drive-by shooting at that spot.

In retaliation, police say a group drove by some homes on Belle Glen, which is less than two miles away. Police say there was a party in that area with people hanging out in front of more than one home. The people in the car and the party-goers then exchanged gunfire.

A Hispanic male, described by police as in his late teens or early 20s, was shot and later died from his injuries.

The car fled the scene and got into a wreck nearby at Boone and Beechnut. The driver kept going, but eventually stopped at a strip center because of the damage to the car.

Police have video of the party and shooting on Belle Glen and another location on Boone.

Three people from the car with the victim are undergoing police interviews.
