HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An accident between two vessels had part of the Houston Ship Channel closed today

According to the U.S. Coast Guard, an 892-foot cargo container and 450-foot oil tanker collided near San Leon.

The Ship Channel was shut down in the area, but opened back up a little after 3pm.

There are no injuries and no spills. The cause of the accident isn't known at this time, but we're told fog was not an issue.
