GREGORY, TX (KTRK) -- Game wardens had to wrangle up a five-feet-long alligator that had wandered into someone's front yard, KRIS-TV reports. No one was hurt, but it took some planning for the wardens to capture the reptile.
First, they tied the gator up with rope, but it tried to break free by rolling around. Then, the wardens applied duct tape to the gator's jaws and cuffed its limbs. That's when they were finally able to haul the gator off.
KRIS-TV said the alligator will be released into the Aransas River.
Game wardens believe recent heavy rains most likely forced the reptile out of a nearby river and into the residential neighborhood.
