JAMAICA, NY -- A Brooklyn grandmother is facing charges after police say she left her five-year old granddaughter in her car so she could gamble.

56-year old Renee Osby was arrested Saturday after the child was spotted by a security guard in the parking lot of the Resorts World Casino in Jamaica, Queens.

Police say the child was in the cold car for more than an hour.

The woman was later released without bail and is barred from seeing her granddaughter.

Osby, who is a home health aide, is charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child.
