Three alarm fire breaks out in downtown Houston highrise.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Firefighters have put out a fire in the lower floors of a highrise in downtown Houston.

The first call came out around 2:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Jefferson St.

The fire went to 3-alarms for manpower purposes. Smoke could be seen coming out of the side of the building.

The fire was extinguished around 3:35 p.m. with no injuries reported.

The Houston Fire Department Arson Bureau was dispatched to the incident and are currently investigating the cause.
