SWAT standoff ends when barricaded suspect is arrested peacefully

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man wanted on an aggravated robbery warrant gave up peacefully, ending a SWAT standoff at a home in northwest Harris County.

This morning, Pasadena police officer tried to serve a warrant in the 7300 block of Northleaf Dr. in Northwest Harris County. The suspect answered the door, but slammed it in officers' faces and barricaded himself inside the home. He was believed to be alone in the residence.

The Sheriff's Office High Risk Operations Unit was called to assist. No shots were fired, and the suspect was arrested without incident after about an hour.
