ROSENBERG, TX (KTRK) -- A woman was arrested in Rosenberg for allegedly leaving her grandchild in a car while she went into a grocery store Saturday.
After being alerted by a witness, Rosenberg police investigated and say they found the 5-year-old boy in the car by himself with the windows rolled up and the car off. Police were able to get into the car and pull the child out. He was fortunately not injured.
The child's grandmother, Beverly Simpson, 68, of Richmond, was arrested for endangering a child. The child was later released to his mother.
