MARYSVILLE, WA -- A Houston man is now in police custody after he was arrested for an armed bank robbery in Washington state but may also face charges in Texas as well.

According to police reports, Ben McClean, 22, flew to Seattle because he heard Washington state had great casinos. McClean cleaned out his bank account of $8,000 prior to flying to Seattle. He apparently lost all of his money playing poker and then slept on a park bench outside of the casino.

On March 6, McClean walked around the day scoping out different banks with the least customers. Police say he then entered the bank and pointed a handgun at an employee and demanded money. The employee complied, handing over the money to the robber at which time he fled. But another employee had called 911 during the robbery.

He fled on foot and police responded to the scene quickly with a K9 unit. McClean was located hiding in bushes just 100 yards from the bank. He was arrested without incident.

While in police custody, McClean admitted to committing a bank robbery in Humble, Texas in January 2015. He faces multiple charges.
