Pizza shop employee shot during armed robbery

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- An employee of Gatti's Pizza is undergoing surgery after he was shot late last night.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, two armed men wearing hoodies walked into Gatti's Pizza on Rayford Road around 10:00pm. They demanded cash, and an argument broke out.

The man working at the time was shot once and taken to Hermann Hospital for treatment. He is in his early '20s and is expected to survive.

The suspects got away. Investigators do not know if they stole cash.
