Man shot in leg in critical condition after robbery in Montrose

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The search is on for a violent robbery suspect who police say shot one of his victims before running off with his wallet.

The robbery happened around 3am on Hopkins near Fargo in the Montrose area.

Authorities tell us two men were walking down the street when the suspect walked up to them and pulled out a gun. Police say the suspect was wearing a white mask.

One of the victims was hit in the leg. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
