METRO offering special discounts for students

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- METRO is now offering Q cards with a special discounted fare just for students.

It's half off the normal $1.25 fare on any of metros services, included buses and light rail no matter what the destination. All you need is a student ID and a report card or proof of enrollment.

The Q card also allows you to gain free rides as you use the card more often.

HCC students can conveniently pick up their Q card on campus so they don't necessarily have to go to a metro ride store to get it.
