METRO bus involved in accident with SUV east of downtown

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A driver was taken to the hospital after a crash involving a METRO bus and an SUV.

It happened just east of downtown on Emancipation and Polk off the Eastex Freeway before 11 a.m.

We're told there were no passengers on the bus.

It's unclear what happened or the extent of injuries of the driver of the SUV.
