Man killed while crossing road in north Harris County

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Deputies say a driver on his way to work struck and killed a man trying to cross FM 1960 in north Harris County.

Deputies say the man was not in a crosswalk around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Several vehicles swerved and avoided hitting the man, but one driver couldn't stop in time.

The man, who has not been identified, died at the scene.
