South Texas man accused of kidnapping ex-boss' wife

MCALLEN, TX -- An arrest warrant has been issued for a South Texas man in the kidnapping of his former employer's wife.

Police said said Tuesday that the 30-year-old Weslaco man is accused of kidnapping the 58-year-old woman from her home south of Donna on Monday. The woman, who suffered minor injuries, was able to escape that man and another unknown captor later in the day. With duct tape still on her face, she was able to wave down a vehicle.

The Monitor in McAllen reports that Hidalgo County Sheriff's deputies along with the Department of Public Safety and other local agencies searched the home and surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspects.
