Man wins $15M playing Illinois Lottery scratch-off game

CHICAGO, IL -- Imagine buying a lottery ticket at a 7-Eleven in downtown Chicago, scratching off a few dollar signs to see what's behind them and realizing that your winning numbers instantly made you $15 million richer.

That just happened to Bradley Long, Illinois Lottery officials said.

News that someone in the Cypress area is a multimillionaire has regular customers buzzing about the win

The Chicago man purchased his winning ticket at the 7-Eleven at 343 North LaSalle Street in the city's River North neighborhood. Officials said the store will receive $150,000 for selling the winning scratch-off, which is 1 percent of the prize.

When he claimed his prize at the Lottery Prize Center in Chicago, Long said, "I plan to get professional advice and invest this windfall very wisely."
