Family stabbed in NW Harris County
Authorities say they a woman and her parents were stabbed allegedly by her the woman's husband

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Several family members are now in the hospital in what Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman describes as a brutal attack at a northwest Harris County home.

Herman says around 11am Sunday deputies were called to 11500 Galbreath to a domestic violence incident. Authorities says a man stabbed his wife and her mother and father.

The man accused in the stabbing is the first victim's husband, according to Herman. There were two children in the home who witnessed the attack, a 9-year-old and 11-year-old. Herman says one of the children is a daughter shared by the mother, a victim and the father, the suspect.

Neighbor Rick Jones says, "(I am) kind of shocked. You wouldn't expect it, really wouldn't. They are nice people. The husband is nice. I know them more than the wife. The father was in the yard and I would talk to him. Not close neighbors but a lot of people aren't anymore in the suburbs."

Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman says, "Evidently the wife had some domestic issues with him yesterday and had fled to her parents house which is the location on Galbreath. He shows up this morning at which point there was an altercation, one of the witnesses says he grabs a knife and starts stabbing the wife."

The husband showed up at a hospital and Herman says he has been detained. They are looking at three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on him.

The wife was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital and the two parents were taken to the Medical Center by ambulance.

The identities of everyone involved have not been released.
