Klein ISD employee accused of indecent contact with a child

KLEIN, Texas (KTRK) -- An aide at the Klein Alternative Education Center was arrested Monday and charged with indecent contact with a child.

According to the district, Craig Dwayne Hooper was a former coach at Klein Oak High School.

No student from Klein ISD is believed to be involved, the district said.

Hooper was taken to the Walker County Jail.

Full statement from Klein ISD:

"Klein ISD considers the safety of our students as our highest priority. Yesterday, an aide at the Klein Alternative Education Center and former coach at Klein Oak High School, Craig Dwayne Hooper, was arrested for indecent contact with a child. There is no reason to believe any Klein ISD student was involved or that this incident is related to Klein ISD. Out of an abundance of caution, we have notified all parents in Klein ISD."
