2 kids suffer minor injuries in Katy ISD bus accident

KATY, TX (KTRK) -- Two Katy ISD students were taken to a hospital following a bus accident Wednesday afternoon.

Katy ISD Police Chief Robert Jinks said a car ran a red light and ran into the back of the the bus as it was turning from Cobia onto Kingsland.

Seventeen students were on the bus at the time of the collision, Jinks said.

Two children were taken to the hospital to treat minor injuries; the bus driver refused medical help.

Everyone inside the car appeared to be OK.
