HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An infected spider bite on comedian Katt Williams' leg has led tour organizers to cancel and reschedule his Houston performance.

Tickets for the Friday, February 13 "Born Again...Again" performance will be honored on Saturday, April 11, at 8pm, according to a release from Williams' tour company.

The release says Katt was released today from the hospital after an overnight stay to treat the infected bite on his right leg. Williams has been ordered to recover for a few days.

Organizers say the bite, which had previously been treated unsuccessfully with an antibiotic, was the reason for another cancellation last weekend.

"Shout-out to all of my fans for their patience, support and understanding while I recuperate. I will be back in action in no time and can't wait to tear it up on the stage again soon," Williams said in a statement by publicist, Stacey Perry.

The release notes that ticket holders for the Friday, February 13 scheduled performance may use their original ticket for entry to the Saturday, April 11th rescheduled date at Toyota Center.

For those unable to attend the rescheduled performance, organizers say they can request a ticket refund. Refund requests must be received by Toyota Center before the day of the rescheduled show. Any refund request received after Saturday, April 11, organizers say, will not be accepted.
