Man accused of setting fire to his parents' house in northwest Harris County

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 31-year-old man is charged with arson after investigators say he set fire to his parent's house in northwest Harris County.

The Harris County Fire Marshal Dean Hensley says Matthew Ramage made threats toward his parents and confessed to starting the fire in the 26800 block of Sweet Stone Court.

Fire investigators say the fire started at the home's front door with a flammable liquid. The damage to the home was minor, according to officials.

Authorities tell us the man's parents were not home, as they feared their son's threats.

Ramage is in the Harris County Jail.
