Houston woman, 23, accused of injuring child

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- You are looking at the mugshot of a 23-year-old woman accused of hitting a child. The Harris County Sheriff's department arrested Melva Candanoza Thursday.

According to the court charging document, Candanoza is accused of causing bodily injury to a child under the age of 15, by striking her with her hand.

She's charged with injury to a child. Candanoza is being held in the Harris County Jail, on a $10,000 bond.
