Suspect with 4 kids in car leads police on chase in Humble
Police are still searching for a man police say led officers on a high-speed chase with four children in the car

HUMBLE, TX (KTRK) -- Police are searching for a man who led officers on a high-speed chase in the Humble area with four children in the car.



The chase ended Monday night on the service road Highway 59 at Will Clayton Road.



Police say they tried to pull the man's car over, but he refused to stop and floored it, sparking a short chase. The man eventually stopped the car and just took off running.



Detectives say it was then they learned that four kids, along with a woman, were in the car during the pursuit. We're told they are OK. Deputies have been making sure they are safe and comfortable, even giving them teddy bears at one point.



The search for the man continues. Investigators are focusing on a private drive that leads to a wooded area. They have the K-9 units out as well as a chopper overhead.
