Weekend ahead brings increasing humidity and small chance for rain

Moisture and small chance of rain return this weekend
Saturday is a warm day as temps rise and humidity comes in.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Our weather will undergo some changes this weekend as the Gulf breeze brings back moisture, clouds, and a small chance for rain.

Today you can expect to see a mix of clouds and sunshine as the moisture increases on a southeast breeze at 20 mph. High temperatures will warm into the low 80s.

What does the rain chance return?

Our next chance for rain begins Sunday afternoon and continues through Monday morning with the approach of a weak cool front. The storm system pushing this front looks to be trending farther away from us, so our rain chances have come down in the 30% to 40% range. Due to the unstable atmosphere, we'll still need to be on guard for an isolated severe thunderstorm, especially north of Houston on Sunday night. After this weather system clears out, our next best chance for rain looks to be next Friday with the approach of a Pacific storm system.

Are we warming back into the 90s anytime soon?

We currently have no 90 degrees in our forecast, but there are plenty of mid 80s highs predicted over the next 10 days. Spring weather is here, and we usually start hitting 90 on a regular basis in May.
